An eclectic, integrative therapist, Andrea believes the journey surrounding mental health is uniquely individual and deeply personal. She brings empathy, trust, understanding and humor to each experience. Andrea works with children, adolescents and adults, and couples. Areas of expertise include postpartum mood, trauma, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, mood disorders, and family/system conflict.
Andrea is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC). Areas of special study while pursuing her graduate degree include best practices for treating perinatal mood disorders and integrative multicultural approach to perinatal mood disorders therapy.
She has lectured as well as designed coursework to further the education, and awareness of best practices for treating postpartum mood disorders across diverse cultures and demographics. She has guest lectured at various colleges and universities. Andrea is also a certified full spectrum doula, childbirth and infant care educator and the executive director of The Birting Circle- Maryland based non-profit supporting families through reproduction, pregnancy, birth, postpartum and the parenting years.
She received her Master’s degree in Counseling from Hood College
